Return to Conference Agenda
Commenting now open till Monday 30th.
Instructions
It is now time to bring together the ideas that we have discussed. Before you go any further, please read
Summary 4 – Opinions and Scenarios – Summary of comments on the four opinions
You may also want to refresh your minds by re-reading the discussion summaries of days one, two and three.
Two Scenarios
There are two scenarios that we want to look at, namely
- Livestock and Fish remains in its current form, with minor additions (say in human nutrition and environmental improvement)
- Livestock and Fish expands considerably to become a global animal science CRP
Again, here is the description of the two scenarios as outlined by PPMC based on their brainstorming in December: 2nd Phase LF concepts
Four Questions
In either case, we need to answer 4 questions as follows
- What key research areas should a new Livestock and Fish Program focus upon?
- What promising research to development approaches should be in the new Livestock and Fish Program?
- What changes should we make to the current model?
- What adjustments should we make to our fundamental theory of change?
Your Task
- We would like you to answer at least 4 out of the 8 questions. If you want to do more, we would welcome this.
- These questions are framed at the interface between 2 scenarios and 4 questions. The table shows this
- For each question, please limit your self to 2 responses. We want you to focus and make choices here
- So, click on the button at the 8 interface points in the table below to go to the comments page where the question is restated for you
Good luck
